Bone Broth is one of nature’s true superfoods. We make ours by slow cooking organic, grass-fed and regeneratively farmed beef bones to create a nutrient dense and delicious liquid broth concentrate, which is rich in naturally occurring collagen as well as a whole host of amino acids like glycine, proline and glutamine. Just as nature intended.

Making it this way means that it’s both nutrient and flavour dense, so you only need to add one tsp to a meal or drink to get a whole host of nutrition as well as massively enhancing the taste.

High in protein and containing naturally occurring collagen, it contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and muscle mass. And, being a whole food it also contains trace amounts of beneficial minerals such as iron, potassium and copper.

Why Bone Broth?

Bone Broth is likely the most consumed food throughout history. Up until the last century, humans would have been drinking bone broth on a daily basis - potentially multiple times per day. Therefore we’ve evolved consuming this superfood and our biology is set up to thrive on it.

It’s an amazing source of protein and collagen, whilst also containing trace amounts of electrolytes, so contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and muscle mass.

How / When To Use

Consume 10-20 grams per day. One lumped tsp = roughly 10g. Stir one tsp into a cup of hot water to make a tea or into your favourite dishes to boost nutritional benefits and taste.

We love adding it to stews, bolognaise, chilli and mixing it with white rice (once cooked) - the flavour is amazing and it’s such an easy way to give your meals a nutritional boost.

But our favourite way to take it is by making a tea. You add one tsp to boiling hot water and that’s it. We drink this first thing every morning to line our stomach before consuming coffee to protect our gut lining. More on this in the Science of Nose-to-Tail section below.

Collagen

Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the body; it’s present in skin, joints, bones, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues, and levels naturally decline with age. Consuming coffee causes our body to release hydrochloric acid. This isn’t an issue later in the day, however if you’re drinking coffee first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, this can break down the stomach lining and cause leaky gut. How does bone broth liquid concentrate differ to normal liquid bone broths?

In basic terms, it’s just cooked for longer so the liquid becomes more concentrated both in flavour and nutrients. Personally we way prefer the taste of the concentrated version and our favourite way to consume it is drinking it as a tea by adding boiling water.

Concentrates are also more shelf stable once opened and can be stored closed in the fridge for up to three months.

How does bone broth liquid concentrate differ to bone broth powder?

Is your bone broth grass-fed / how do you source it?

The cows spend as much time outdoors as weather conditions allow eating a natural diet of grass and plant life. When the weather gets too cold they’re brought into barns, which have plenty of room, natural light and are really well maintained. During this time they’re mainly fed on hay and silage (grass and other plants that have been cut, dried and stored) as well as some organic supplementary feed like barley.

We source our beef bone broth from KRAV certified farms in Sweden. These are not only organic (meaning no artificial fertilisers or un-natural pesticides) but follow strict rules to increase biodiversity, work in harmony with the ecosystem around them to reduce climate impact, care for their animals and provide great working conditions for their colleagues.

Examples include;

Instead of using synthetic fertilisers, they use manure from their own farms to fertilise the soil.
They use preventative methods such as varied crop rotation to protect against pests so they don’t have to use un-natural pesticides.
The animals are kept outdoors for as much of the year as weather conditions allow.
