Gut & Digestive Health
Have you ever heard the saying ‘it’s not what you eat, it’s what you absorb?’ This refers to the fact that you can be eating X, Y or Z gold standard food, but if your digestive system isn’t operating properly, you won’t be able to absorb the nutrients from it. Whether it’s through increasing the digestive enzymes in your system, repairing leaky gut or killing off negative gram bacteria, all the products below have the ability to boost your gut and digestive health.
Grass-Fed ColostrumColostrum is the ‘first milk’ produced by cattle in the hours following their infants birth. Our colostrum is from grass-fed / finished cattle and is ethically sourced from the surplus left after the calf has been fully nourished. Packed with nutrients, peptides and growth factors, this is an incredibly potent natural supplement for immunity, lean muscle / connective tissue growth and gut health.
Organic MCT OilMCT Oil is a real food derived, rapid source of energy. Unlike other fat sources, it doesn’t need to be broken down on consumption so is either used as an instant source of ATP energy or turned into ketones. Also C8 and C10 MCTs have been shown to have great antimicrobial properties, which means they help combat gut issues like Candida. Our MCT Oil is derived from sustainably sourced organic coconuts and completely palm oil free.
Grass-Fed Digestive Organ Complex
If we want to thrive in terms of health and performance, it’s vital that we’re absorbing micronutrients in optimal amounts. We created our digestive complex to support just this. It’s made from two key digestive system organs; liver and pancreas. These contain vital vitamins, minerals, peptides and nutrients to support your digestion and nutrient absorption.
Gut & Digestion BundleThis bundle contains three incredible products to help improve digestion and heal the gut. MCT Oil is an antimicrobial, which can help reduce the amount of pathogenic bacteria in the gut microbiome. Colostrum contains transforming growth factors that stimulate the growth of connective tissue, including the gut lining, which in turn can help to heal leaky gut. Lastly, our digestive organ complex contains pancreatic enzymes, which break down the food that we consume and help us absorb the nutrients from it.
What is your policy on sourcing / ingredients?
We pride ourselves on sourcing the highest quality raw materials from farms that share our principles.
All the organs in our Nose-to-Tail range come from regenerative farms that rear their animals consciously and have the highest standards for welfare. All the cattle are 100% grass-fed and aren't exposed to hormones or antibiotics.
Our Medicinal Mushrooms and the coconuts that we make our MCT oil from are farmed organically and grown as nature intended, meaning they have high levels of the beneficial compounds they're known for and no chemical residues..
Our Celtic Oysters are sourced off the coast of Ireland in designated waters that are monitored weekly for bio-toxins and bacteria. As with everything that we do, they are harvested in a way that's as environmentally friendly and humane as possible.
I can't decide whether to get beef liver or the mixed organs - which do you recommend?
It depends on your specific requirements really... the Beef Organs contain a wider variety of micronutrients including some more unique nutrients like Selenium (great for immunity and thyroid function) and CoQ10, which is great for cardiovascular health. Whereas the Beef Liver contains less of a variety but the nutrients it does contain (Vitamin A, all the B vitamins, copper, etc) are in a greater density. Personally I usually opt for the Beef Organs as I have a history of poor heart health in my family and I generally recommend this to men over the Beef Liver as they need more heart support. Whereas for women I usually recommend the Beef Liver. That said, it might be worth trialing one and then the other and seeing which works best for you.
