One of the coolest things about running APE is meeting amazing people doing incredible things. Not just for themselves, but for the planet, the soil, community and beyond.
In a world where pressure is being piled upon UK farmers, subsidies are being cut, taxes are being introduced and the general cost of living and operating a business are rising... there is a small but mighty community of people pushing back against the tide; growing the highest quality food, protecting a beautiful piece of land, creating a community and educating others on how to do the same.
Izzi and I went to visit them a few months back and there was so much alignment between our goals, values and ourselves as people, we knew we had to tell you about them, so...
Meet the not so little farm creating some big changes right here in the UK.
And, if you're interested you can head over to their website after you're finished reading to learn more about how to support or join their community, events and workshops or pick up some of their beautiful fruit, veg and meat boxes
The My Little Farm Team & Their Story
"We’re Laure & Keivor, co-founders of My Little Farm, a member-owned regenerative farm in the South Downs. Our journey began in the summer of 2020, during those long lockdown walks when so many of us were questioning the direction the world was moving in. We kept coming back to the same answer: to take responsibility for our food and our future, we needed to live closer to the land. So, that autumn, we bought 15 acres and began to build a smallholding — with no prior experience, but with a big vision.
The first year taught us about seeds, soil health, composting and ecosystems, but more than that, it taught us about slowing down and reconnecting with nature’s rhythms. Still, we quickly realised how demanding a farm can be — you have to show up every day, in every season. And while this brought us joy, it also revealed a bigger truth: not everyone can pack up their lives to milk cows at dawn, but many people want a deeper connection to their food, the land, and a community that shares those values.
That’s why we created My Little Farm. Instead of being owned by external investors, our farm is co-owned by its members. Together, we steward the land, animals, gardens and infrastructure. Members choose a tier that works for them, and in return, they share in the food we produce, the value we create, and the experience of being part of something tangible and meaningful. It’s a way of reclaiming responsibility for our food supply — not by outsourcing trust, but by knowing the farmers, co-owning the land, and eating food grown in living soil with integrity.
At the heart of the farm is a team of growers and livestock-keepers cultivating vegetables, pasture-raised animals, eggs, honey and raw dairy. Everything is produced without synthetic chemicals or pharmaceuticals — full stop. Instead, we work with nature: feeding the soil with long rotations and composts, raising hardy heritage breeds on herbal pastures, and mob-grazing animals across diverse grasslands so they can thrive. The result is food that tastes exceptional because it’s grown slowly, with care and respect for the land.
Since you’re reading this via APE Nutrition, you already care about nutrient density, ethical sourcing and ancestral wisdom. That’s our daily work too — from living soils to transparent farming practices, we’re committed to building a food system people can truly stand behind.
We’d love to welcome you onto the land to walk the fields, meet the team, and experience member-owned, regenerative farming up close. Learn more at mylittlefarm.co.uk."
